Goldenhorse formalised as a four piece alternative/pop band in 2002. The upbeat and catchy song, Maybe Tomorrow comes off Goldenhorse's first album, 'Riverhead' (2002). 'Riverhead' was self-recorded, above a massage parlour.
Lead singer Kirsten Morelle's family relocated from Cornwall, England, to New Zealand while she was still primary school aged, which explains the accent you may hear at times. Her singing style is best described as clear, sweet and floating.
There are now five members to the band, with lead vocals and songwriting shared with guitarist, Ben King.
One of the most interesting GoldenHorse gigs was at a Nano-scientists convention, where three Nobel prize-winning scientists danced up the front.
The version posted of Maybe Tomorrow is the original version. The sound makes up for the filming off the screen by the Youtube poster.
